Fall preview: the Superintendents Meeting, September 3–4

Two days in Seal Beach with the people who hold your job — the Coalition's Superintendents Meeting returns to Old Ranch Country Club September 3–4.

Being a superintendent is famously the loneliest job in education — every decision lands on your desk, and almost nobody in your building has held it. The Coalition's Superintendents Meeting, September 3–4 at Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach, is built on the one thing that reliably helps: two days with the people who hold your job.

What two days look like

The format is deliberately simple. Superintendents from districts across California, one room, honest conversation about what is working, and a clear read on the legislative session ahead. No exhibit hall to walk, no keynote gauntlet — the agenda serves the conversation, and the conversation is the product. Board relations, budgets, staffing, the AI questions now reaching every cabinet — whatever is heaviest on your desk is fair game, because it is on everyone else's desk too.

Ask the members who keep coming back and they will tell you the same thing: the meeting pays for itself on the drive home, and the network pays for itself all year.
